Inspiration of Designing Bracelets!
A Few questions from our readers about the inspiration of designing bracelets!
Inspiration of Designing bracelets
I love that a few of you reached with a few questions. Here are three of them and I’ll try to answer them. Nancy‘s question is ” How do you get inspired?” Terri asked, “What do you do if you can’t get a design to work?“ Hanna’s question is a big one and is “How do I make sure my bracelets are good enough to sell?“
A Bit about me!
Let’s look into my life as a designer! Inspiration; once inspired great thing start happening.
To start let’s take a little about me and where my inspiration starts. Being a creative person, I have to be creative. It’s something that just built into me and I can’t not create.
How do I get Inspired?
Nancy asked the question: “How do I get inspired?” Where do I get my inspiration to design bracelets. For Me it begins by taking a look at my designing board. Believe me, it’s quite the mess, and it would probably drive a lot of people crazy to even think someone tries to design of that. I’ll share a picture.
My beads are organized just not my design board. The disorganization of my design board makes the colors look alive. I start picking them out and moving them into an organized design.
My first part to inspiration is color! To achieve this, I need my messy bead board. Dragging out containers of beads does nothing for me. Mixing them together does the trick! Using the colors lets me start grouping beads together in a design. That allows me to put my design in play to create a necklace or a bracelet. It’s where my start begins. Disorganized to be organized will create something wonderful!

What do I do if I can’t get a design in my head to work?
Terri asked the question: ” What do I do if I can’t get a design in my head to work”. Basically, all I can say to this is walk away. Go outside and take time away. Frustration Ville I have been to many times. It’s not a fun place to be and there is always time to redirect. Giving yourself a break and doing something fun to get rid of the frustration needs to happen. You will find that you come back with a clean mind and let your inspiration take over!
Getting away to some place that inspires goes a long way in clearing my head. I am able to come back and focus.
How do I make Sure My Bracelets are Good Enough to Sell?
Hanna asked a big question that was “How do I make sure my bracelets are good enough to sell.” You’re the designer! It’s hard to let someone else look at your art, let alone sell it.
Undeniably it’s the quality of my bracelets is my number one and strength. There is nothing worse than someone getting a bracelet and having it break minutes after being putting it on due to poor workmanship. The key is to design your jewelry with your customer in mind. Quality goes a long way.
Go buy a bracelet from the dollar store. Now put that bracelet in one hand and then put one of your bracelets in the other hand. Feel the difference. Which one feels better to you to wear? We all want to wear a bracelet that feels like quality. If you put good workmanship into your designs, you will be able to sell them.
